Our master range drum maker has been making djembes for 20 years.The process starts in the bush where he will hand pick the wood and decide on the part of the trunk to be cut to have the shell carved from.

 The shells are then carved and taken to his workshop where he finishes them to absolute perfection. Soaking the thick goatskin to make the drum heads, fashioning the metal rings, using the toughest high quality cord , creating stunning designs and decorative carvings, and the laquered protective finish.The resulting djembes, sabars and dunduns are quite simply breathtaking. The distinctive Slap , tone and bass sounds he achieves are incredible testament to the years of experience in which he has honed his art. Every drum from this range is a one off , a unique creation to be treasured, played , travelled with, enjoyed , fully and frequently!!!
