Pro 'Ivorian' Djembe

The 'ivorian' shape based on the shape of shells carved in the Ivory Coast. A slighltly lighter cousin of the bambara models by virtue of the slimmer stem and narrower base giving a unique sound. The same high quality heading and finishing with the 36 pairs of verticals means a drum which will keep it's tone and remain tight. I would describe the bass tone as less meaty than the bambara and senegalese models , but some drummers may find it useful to have a lighter dimba drum in their collection for standing and soloing. The tones and slaps you can get out of these drums are quite incredible , rich and fruity sounds full of that rootsy Sengalese flavour.
